MDT's

Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with benign MS in January 2021 but have not been on any medication. I don't feel that my MS affects me too much on a day to day basis - I often feel tired and get a heavy left leg when I've done too much but that's it really. However, it seems I had a relapse in September when I got blurred vision which subsided after a few weeks. My consultant is now considering meds for me - Avonex, Copaxone or Ponvory. I've read up on them but really don't fancy any of them. I'd really appreciate any advice anyone has to offer. Many thanks, Nikki

@Nikki01 is there a diagnosis of benign MS ? Is there a reason your Neurologist didn't prescribe a DMT immediately for you once your diagnosis was confirmed ? After 3 years of tests and MRI's I finally got a formal diagnosis of MS due to a new lesion. My previous MRIs found multiple lesions in my brain and c spine and demylination. My lumbar puncture was inconclusive. I'm now self injecting Copaxone 40mg 3 x a week. I've been told I will have another MRI within 6mths to check if it's working. I'm experiencing worsening fatigue the day after an injection and itching. Also lumps under the skin which disappear after a few days. I must say I will take that if it prevents further progression. I hope you find the right treatment for you and your lifestyle. Take care .
