Hello everyone, I don’t know if this is relevant to this page but I desperately need some help or advice. I was diagnosed with RRMS in January this year which through me completely. As you all know it turns your life upside down! Luckily my partner and I had critical illness insurance to help us out, however the company refuses to pay. It’s very upsetting and I’m just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience that can offer some help? We stay in Glasgow, Scotland and our policy was with Scottish widows. Hi there, I'm literally just about to put my claim in having just been diagnosed. What reason did they give for the refusal? Can you appeal? Sorry you're going through this x

Hi. We appealed the decision and it was refused again today. We are taking it further with a lawyer now. Basically when we claimed, they retrieved my medical records which showed a letter (which I have never seen) from a dr to my gp talking about blurred vision i had one day 5 years ago. I showed them my optician records to prove I never had blurred vision but because The dr described it that way they wont pay out! Its actually infuriating, I’ve been sick with stress and worry for months now. I hope you have an easier time, if I can help with anything please just msg xx
