Walking foot pain

Hello, I’m after some advice, I was diagnosed with RRMS in 2021 and had HSCT in 2022. My walking has been different since my symptoms started in 2020. I suffer with weakness on my left side & foot drop. I’ve recently been experiencing pain in my left foot in my big toe and in the joint to the ball of my left foot. I saw a physiotherapist at a neurologist at an neuro centre I attend, and she said I walk on a slant on my left foot/ too much pressure on my inner side (ball and big toe) of my left foot. Physiotherapist also recommended being referred to a specialist via my ms nurse to get I think where I don’t walk ‘normally’ I’m compensating and causing pain in my foot. I have an orthotic boot but its so uncomfortable to wear and just not practical I’m seeing my ms nurse in a couple of weeks so will mention to her. Has anyone else experienced this? Can I rectify it? Any advice on what can help? I have no pain tolerance and it’s really getting me down that I can’t walk without pain now.

@LEAllen hiya. It's a long long story, but it's my trouble with foot pain and being fobbed off for years that led me to my diagnosis. The one thing (for me) that's really helped is my Hoka trainers. It's the only thing I wear. I'm not advertising and they're not perfect, but I have arthritis in my toes, foot, ankle and knee pains. The Hoka Cliftons really helped with my knee and lower back. Toes don't hurt as much. Also started reformer pilates which has helped loads (but it's very expensive). I need to try and figure out how to make it work best for me. But the get exercises I did on the machine have really eleviated my foot pain. Also discovered during a session that I constantly use my right side over my left and that may explain some other pain I'm getting it. Anyway. Hoka and reformer pilates have been good for me. I was sent videos for for drop to try, but not got around to watching them yet. Having MS feels like having a full time job (sometimes).😌
