Flare ups on Tecfidera

Hi, first-time post here.. Dx 2021, no medication prescribed, relapse 2022. proscribed Tecfidera which is going well, with no side effects. Flushing a couple of times but nothing serious. Just wondered if flareups are normal when on a DMT? I am currently lying in bed, left leg feels like a lead weight. It was my left side that suffered the most in my original diagnosis. I haven't done anything unusual. Friday, I was fine, Saturday my limb said " "not today, sunshine" Any thoughts appreciated. MS messing with my understanding. MS awareness week - the irony!!

Flare-ups happen of old symptoms, especially if you're tired or have an infection. If you have new symptoms (or a bad flare of your old symptoms that lasts longer than 24 hours), you should tell your MS nurse/neuro. You may need an update MRI to check for new lesions and change of DMD.

@mellowmedusa Thanks for your response. I will ring the MS nurses. At the moment, all I want to do is sleep. My leg is still the same today so definitely flare up of old symptoms. Onwards and upwards.
