Had a relapse? Double vision for 30 minutes..

Yesterday I was watching a dvd with my wife called Hope. It's all about healing naturally, healthy living etc, and about 2/3 of the way through my vision started to blur/double. I stopped the video and it hit me hard about 3 minutes later. Looking at my analogue clock on my wall across the room I could very easily see 2 of them. This lasted for about 30-35 minutes. I was alarmed, a little scared but more curious if it was MS related, and can be considered a relapse? I've never had anything this bad happen before (usually joint aches and pains). Anyone else experience this? Is it a relapse? Funny enough, hopped on FB today and one of my MS groups had posted the same thing. Random find, but some people were saying that their DV lasted upwards to 1.5 months!!! Scary thought, and I'm glad I was home on the couch and not driving...

Hey that sounds awful, hope you’re feeling okay about it. I ALWAYS let my mind run 100mph when I’m experiencing a symptom too, but try not to let your thoughts get the better of you! I experienced double vision and that led to my diagnosis in 2014, it lasted around 6 months though and my eye had completely turned itself inwards (this was due to swelling on the brain), it is definitely worth noting and telling your specialist! Keep an eye on it though and if it continues maybe request an MRI ☺️ good luck x

@ameliamcnally yeah first thing I did when I could walk, with help, to the bathroom was check my eyes. They were thankfully straight. I still feel that I could get that DV at any moment when I look forward, but I think it's more worry than it happening again any time soon... I hope. I am seeing my doctor Dec 1st, so I can speak to her then. But maybe an email would be better?
