Hello, My tests and diagnosis are suggestive of MS

2 years ago, just at the start of COVID-19, I had pains at the back of my neck and lower shoulder, was relieved after treatment and then 9 months ago, I began staggering when walking. Remarkably, one day in November 2022, I could not walk and had to be helped. Now after lots of tests and MRI scans, the Neurologist diagnosis are leaning towards MS. Though the only symptoms I have are walking balance, which has improved and the pins and needles sensation in my hands and feet. Has anyone had something similar?

I experienced spasms of the right side of my face in 2018 and collapsing episodes. I would feel extremely tired and just collapse to the ground and then struggled with my movement. The symptoms would come and go. I had a brain scan which showed a small number of demyelinating lesions. I had a repeat brain scan a year later and a lumbar puncture which were both clear (although white blood cells slightly raised on lumbar puncture). In September 2020, I was diagnosed with MS after a repeat brain MRI scan in July 2020 showed new lesions. I would sometimes get shooting pains down my arms/legs and was fatigued. It was a shock being diagnosed with MS but a relief in a way to have an answer for my symptoms and get on some treatment. Hope you get the answers you need soon.

Yes, my first symptom was pins and needles in my left arm. Next symptoms were difficulty walking: fine at first, then struggling, and had to really focus on each step by the end or risk falling. Staggering made me look like I was drunk, as was -'helpfully' pointed out. I also had back pain, and I had attributed the walking issues to that. But nope. It was PPMS all along.
