Hi everyone, I have to start Ocrelizumab in a few and honestly I'm really scared about side effects. Can you please your expercience about this medication? In late of this year or the next one, me and my partner want to have a baby, they said is quite safe, but still can be some risks. Thanks everyone can help. Giorgia

Hi Giorgia, I am in a similar position to you at the moment and found your post today. Thanks for your brave post. I am trying to decide what treatment to go for and also leaning towards ocrelizumab. I'm curious to know how you have been getting on with it and if you experienced any side effects or infections since then. Did you find out more information about pregnancy/breastfeeding? Thank you :)

Hi @mirandawj I hope my reply can help you, I tell you my experience and I want be honest with you. I received my firsts 2 half dose of Ocrevus on 24th of July and the 7th of August. It's the very first time I had an infusion of medication and the first half dose was overall fine, but at the hospital I had a skin rush in the face, they stopped the medication for an hour and gave me more antihistaminic. After I was fine and I took antihistaminic for a couple of days. The first time it took me 1 week to recover, I was extreamly tired, confuse and hungry 24/7. I had for 1 week a pressure in my head and ears but it went away. The second shot was better and no skin rush and I recover faster, I've got less pressiure in the head and ears but more muscle pains around the body. I didn't have any infection or fever. Both of the time, during the evening I had a big pain in all body. My choise was between Ocrevus or Kesimpta, but I rather have I shot every six months than every month and it's in hospital with nurses, that's make me more comfortable than inject myself. About the pregnancy: they gave me a document of the newest reseach about how it's safe try having a baby after 3 months from infusion. I didn't understand so much, but it's not totally a risk, there cases went fine and others with normal problems. I want speak anyway with my neurologist if I can wait 4 months of 5. She is one of neurologist did the research. I can understand they want push more for the 3 months because maybe I can't be pregnant immidiatly and it'll be such a long time without the medication in the end. I know the baby can't be receive vaccine with live virus for a certain period of time.
