How do you deal with MS mood changes

My fiancé was diagnosed with MS back in 2017 when he was 27 years old. We have been together for 6 years now. I understand the disease, his symptoms and the challenges that come with it (from the outsider point of view, obviously). I support him 100% all the time (or at least I like to believe I do) but it’s becoming so difficult to deal with the mood swings and anger outbursts. To the point we’re I feel my own mental health is being compromised. How do you cope with the mood changes ? What can I do to help him “manage” his feelings in a better way? Thank you for taking the time to read me out. Happy to join this community, I’m new around here !

Hey @Fefifrommtl - I have MS so can't help specifically, but if you do a search on here on 'mood changes' and 'anger' some interesting posts come up which could be useful? You sound very understanding and supportive - he's lucky :)

Good afternoon Fefi I’m speaking for myself I don’t really notice a different in my attitude in a negative way..if anything I have become kinder to everyone. Set him straight. Treat him the same way don’t make MS his excuse. Best Jorge
