Neck discomfort advice - what do you think?

SPMSer for a couple of years now, with standard MS issues, balance, fatigue, bladder the size of a walnut etc etc. For about 4 weeks now i've had what feels like muscle discomfort in the back of my neck, right rear side, as if i've slept uncovered and caught a cold breeze across it. I have done that before and found that exercising it, keeping it moving, stretching will clear it after a day or two. Wouldnt say its painful, but just uncomfortable. I 'grind' my neck around to stretch my neck a bit and i can feel crunching. Not unusual i guess. I WFH and sit at my desk and laptop but keep moving and exercising and havent had this issue before from seating position. The problem is that nothing seems to be relieving this annoying, ever present, discomfort. Has anyone found this to be an MS symptom? Any advice, ideas, experiences you can share that might shed some light? I'm awaiting response from my MS nurse and meeting consulant in 3 months for a progress meeting, but just hoping there might be a nugget or two on here. Thanks in advance; Craig xx

Hi @Craig2000 sorry to hear you’ve got neck discomfort. I’m an MSK physio and your problem is very common for anyone whether they have MS or not and although it usually goes away in a day or 2 it can last up to 6 weeks (or sometimes more). There is some really good general advice on my local NHS website https://www.nhsaaa.net/musculoskeletal-service-msk/neck/neck-pain-msk/ If this doesn’t help I would ask to see either a musculoskeletal (out patient) physio or a MS physio or your GP I hope this helps 🥰
