Need Advice please! Newbie

I have Autoimmune Hashimoto’s which I’ve had for 20 years. Last year I had an episode of left leg and left arm weakness, had an MRI which showed up mild non specific white matter, possible demyelination. I was offered a lumbar puncture but too scared to have one! I am now experiencing extreme tiredness, jelly legs which also ache and painful tense headache’s across my forehead, just wondering if this might be the start of MS or my Hashimoto’s playing up again! Any advice very welcome! I’m just really struggling with the tiredness just want to sleep. Be very grateful for any advice!

The only way to know is to speak to your neurologist about further tests for a potential MS diagnosis. I can understand your fear about a lumbar puncture. The thought is often scarier than the actual process. It'll be explained step by step what's happening and you'll be reassured. It's difficult to know if it's your Hashimoto's or potentially MS without further investigations. I hope you can get some answers soon x
