Headaches/Head & Neck Pressure

Hi All, Just looking for a bit of advice. For the last nearly 3/4 weeks I’ve been having the most awful feeling in my head (temples) and upper neck. Sometimes I would describe it as a head ache but more of the time I’d describe it as a pressure in my head specifically at my temples and my base of skull. As if my head might explode. When I went to the GP she said it was new onset of migraines and prescribed me vimovo which did nothing. I then had a neurology appt (out of the blue) who also said it was migraines as well and gave me sumatriptan which has done nothing for me either. I wake up with the feeling most mornings and cannot get rid it through out the day. It’s really starting to bother me a lot. I try to get on with my day as much as I can but it’s always there. Im not photophobic with them but sometimes have the odd nausea. I feel going out for walks in the cold can bother it too. I’m afraid to go back to GP for fear of not being believed. Has anyone ever experienced anything this? Im not even sure if it’s MS related? Im only diagnosed about 6months. I am due to start my first DMT in about a month or so but really nervous now with this non stop head pressure. Any advice or tips would be really appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.

I get stabbing pains in my head sometimes for days and it’s awful. My ms nurse is a waste of time he’s completely useless and to be honest doesn’t help me in any way! It’s very frustrating when you feel like your banging your head against a brick wall. Hopefully it will go soon sometimes we get issues with things that nobody understands or has empathy with so I really hope things improve. Worth going bk to the doctors if it’s effecting you everyday!

Hi I have the exact same feelings. I have had MS for 34 years and mine started when I start my infusion with Tysabri . M neurologist told me it was one of tysabri side affects . Only thing that helped was Tylenol cold . I just turned 59 and decided to try Botox for wrinkles on my forehead . THIS WORKED !!!! Stopped my headaches no more pressure Problem is insurance does not cover it and it’s very costly. Other people I have spoken to said it did nothing for them including my neurologist but it worked for me. Kept headaches away for months starting to comeback now ☹️ Not sure if I can afford Botox . Look into it
