Were you misdiagnosed first?

Hi all, first post. I’ve always had issues for the last 15 years. I’m now 36. Diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2014, ehlers danlos syndrome in 2022, anxiety etc. I feel like my symptoms are something else. Right side numbness and tingly (feels like a bloody pressure cuff around my upper arm) Awful gait - now use cane and often wheelchair Chronic pain - absolutely awful Blurred vision Inc floaters Even my face (right side) goes tingly. Constipation all the time. Balance not good. Every time I see gp they just blame it on my other diagnoses. Anyone else have to fight to be taken seriously?

Hi, get the written MRI report and see if it has Syrinx on there. Very few Neurologists know exactly what it is and just skip over it and read the rest of the report. If you have a syrinx in your spinal cord, it sounds like it has developed into Syringomyelia. I am not a doctor. Just check your MRI written reports. Best to you.

I was diagnosed with neurological sarcoidosis for years as the ms tests came back negative. After 20 years apparently my mri scan “looks like someone with ms, so you have ms”
