Back Pain

Hi, I am in near constant pain with my back. As soon as I start to walk, my back really hurts on my left side :( I can't walk far without being in a lot of pain and I can rest a bit, do a bit...but the pain means that going out isn't enjoyable or easy. I go on holiday at the end of May for a week with my husband, our three kids, my parents, my niece and three dogs. We do A LOT of walking usually on holiday and I am worrying about how I am going to cope. I have found that if I go somewhere like food shopping and I lean on a shopping trolley, then that helps so I am wondering if getting some kind of aid would help me to walk with less pain. The back pains started about a month ago, and I did have a lumbar puncture on 8th Feb, so I'm not sure if my back is just bruised because of the lumbar puncture, but it doesn't seem to be getting any better. I am in the UK and not sure whether to buy a walking aid and try it, contact my MS team or go and see my GP. All this is very new to me. I really don't want to have to walk with an aid but if it means I can spend quality time with my family on holiday then I'm willing to do it. I just don't want to be left behind on holiday every day while my family go out all day because I can't keep up with them :( And I don't want to ruin their holidays by making them walk the tiny amount that I am able to. Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Back pain is, omg, the worst, I use a walk stick it sort of help, but it gets in the way, sorry I'm not much help 😔🫂

Your post is helpful @Mwsurviver - so you use a stick - not a crutch?
