Work/ benefits UK

Just wondering if people have still been able to keep their jobs due to my MS affecting my hands and my legs at the moment I am on sick as I work in charity shop and it’s very very full on physically. I’ve been told by a few people now just to stay on the sick and let them retire me due to ill health. Just wanted to see how other people are getting on with this, and what benefits can you claim in the UK? Many thanks

Hi, I've been off work for 4 months. I'm on sick pay which is crap. You can apply for PIP from the government. I'm lucky as I live with my parents. I'm not able to do my job at all due to double vision. If you check out the Gov.uk web site it will show the benefits you could claim

@Domhealy

I stayed on the sick as long as I could and it was through Covid. they finally got rid of me because I couldn’t do my supervisors job. they paid me the lowest redundancy money. when you apply for PIP get the citizens advice involved. they help me with forms and to appeal against what they first offered me
