Anyone on special diets to control MS

Hi everyone, My MS journey started this time last year, with my first flare up. I started Copaxone in July but I also began to follow professor George Jelinek's Overcoming MS programme within weeks of being told i may have MS (January 17). I've made a lot of changes to my diet and I feel great for it. As to whether it is helping the MS, I'll have to wait and see, it's still early days! So I'm just wondering if anyone else follows a strict diet and how they find it works for them? Also I just wanted to say how great it is for someone new to life with MS to be able to interact with so many others who have been in my position, who know what I'm feeling and going through. Thanks

Hi @annie13 and welcome. There's lot of discussion regarding diets, especially the OMS Diet. You can find the earlier conversations using the Forum Search facility, magnifying class towards the top left of each page, and searching for the term "diet". The feeling is that diet probably does not impact our MS, but it does make you healthier and feel healthier. This "feel good factor" does help you feel better overall - and we all need the release of all those endorphins!

Thanks @stumbler, I figured out the search thing after I put up the post!!! Ha!! I just figured that as MS is an inflammatory condition and a diet high in saturated fat is inflammatory also, eating a diet low in saturated fat just kinda makes sense. It won't do any harm anyways! I just want to be able to say to myself 20 years down the line that, whatever happens, I tried everything.
