Spet 6 a continuation of the weekly experiences :/
Today I woke up feeling fatigued. The dizzyness was present... Followed by spotty vision (again). Called my MS nurse and left a voice mail. Half an hour later I was puking. Then I slept for several hours. My fiance made me pho from a MS cookbook that I was gifted. All is fine and dandy when I remain seated. But when I move the swirling motion takes over and the desire to retch accompanies it.
Is this what relapsing is?? Repetition of similar symptoms you've experienced in the initial "attack"? Legitimately asking cus I was diagnosed in late March/early April this year...
@Alisha , Vertigo, which can cause dizziness and vomiting, whilst being an MS symptom, can have other causes. These should be investigated by your Doctor. Did the spotty vision recur?
Hi @Stumbler. My first attack had a lot of vertigo and spotty vision; I went to emergency after a couple of days and had been seen by my nurse practitioner. Despite her note, the doctor on shift at emergency diagnosed me with BPPV and sent me on my way with instructions to see a physiotherapist. The physiotherapist took one look at my eyes and immediately called my nurse practitioner to inform her that I needed scans and he wouldn't touch me. At the time, yes, my eyes were swivelling like vertigo, but I also had double vision, and my pupils were, and still are, mismatching sizes. After that meeting the ball started rolling, first a CT Scan followed by an MRI on my brain, then a spinal tap, then another MRI scan but on my C and T spine. Then I was provided the options and I selected Tysabri despite being JC positive. Spotty vision has been reoccurring but not for as long as it initially had been. No one has talked to me about it. I feel like a checklist, they deal with me as fast as they can and move on to the next person. I understand that everyone is stretched thin, especially with COVID, but I can't even get ahold of my MS nurse. BIOGen1 contacts me and then gets ahold of my MS nurse, and are shocked every time I have to tell them "No, my MS nurse has not gotten back to me." Or "No, my MS nurse hasn't called me like she indicated to you that she would.". Then I asked BIOGen1 if they could tell me what was on my last MRI that took 2 hours to scan my brain, C and T spine all in one go. She informed me that they had no clue that it was requested or scheduled. Sooooo I have no clue what's going on with me.
