Diagnosis....
Hi, I'm new here and just wondering how long did it take everyone to get a diagnosis?
I'm currently having investigations to see if I have it or if it's something else. I fell down some stairs a few months ago-no idea why, I didn't have dizziness at that specific time and I didn't trip or slip..... I finally got an MRI that I asked for and it came back with some things (lots of deep white matter) they needed to investigate more.
My second MRI to investigate further didn't show much wrong, but because of my symptoms (fatigue, dizziness/balance issues, muscles aching, coordination problems, blurred vision and muscle weakness) I've been referred to a neurologist and had another MRI requested by the neurologist this time, earlier this week. Just waiting for my appointment to see the neurologist now.
Any tips on things I could/should be doing?
I am going to follow along for any answers you get. I am also in limbo waiting for a neurologist appointment. Hoping soon as walking difficulties and balance have me using a cane now. Hoping you don't have a long wait.
I've been getting 'tested' for nearly 2 years now. Only diagnosed in January 2023. No sub type diagnosis yet, although looking like ppms or spms. Next face to face with neurologist may 2024.
