New here, question about lesions/progress

Hi I'm new here and I was just wondering how many of you had a CIS diagnosis with oligoclonal bands before you got your MS diagnosis? I have a lesion on my spinal cord that affects my right arm, got a lot of sensory issues with it and a lot of numbness as well. However, I've also experienced other symptoms not related to that lesion, like my entire right side was tingly and numb for 3 days, MRI showed no new lesions though, and it slowly subsided. Also have a lot of pain in both arms and both legs, on the outside, and numbness in my feet, but still, no new lesions. So I'm wondering how long it took for others to get to MS eventually? There's a lot of different statistics out there and I'm not sure what to trust, so I figure going by peoples personal experiences, at least I know what to look out for. My neuro has me on regular MRIs, but no meds, which I'm happy with. Nice to meet you all, wish it had been under better circumstances! //Julie
@Belledefluff

I had a CIS then I had a lumbar puncture and it showed oligoclonal bands, so I was diagnosed with MS at that point. However, the consultant did tell me that the criteria for diagnosing has changed in the last 5 years and that 5 years ago I wouldn't have been diagnosed yet.
