Tecfidera

Any advice on tecfidera I've been told I shouldn't be on asprin for too long (which helps the hot flushes) but now everyday I'm having really bad flushes like my skins on fire and just look like a beetroot then I become itchy on my head and arms. I make sure I eat some breakfast before taking tecfidera. Wondered if anyone got any advice or tips to deal with this as its happening regularly and when I'm at work.

Completely sympathise but other than aspirin I didn’t find anything else useful. It’s really important to drink a lot when taking the drug and a decent breakfast inside you and evening meal. How long have you been on it? Being at work and turning tomato is so embarrassing so I feel your pain! I’ve just come off it and now going on a new one which I’m ever so grateful for I hope you find a solution ❤️

I've been on tecfidera for 6 months now and have realised good food is paramount, especially before taking meds. High fat and protein diet is good and suggested by docs. But i would certainly check with your doctor about the flashes. You should try to make sure it doesn't cause further issues. I have only had side effects as stomach disorders when eating poorly. Of course lots of water. Best of luck with this.
