Neuropathic Pain
I'm currently taking Amitriptyline for constant pain pins and needles and numbness in both hands and burning in my feet.
I've not experienced any benefits and I don't think it's helping my fatigue.
Two other drugs have been mentioned to me by my Neurologist Gabapentin and Pregabalin.
Any one have good experiences with either and found them to be effective ?
Any side effects ?
He also mentioned another drug the name of which escapes me I think it began with an N but he said Gp would probably refuse to prescribe it.
Hey @mutley64 Sorry to hear about this, I get the same burning symptom in my legs and feet, I was put on carbamazepine by the neurologist - it took a while to get into my system properly but it did work eventually! I used to take it in the evening because it would make me tired and that's when the symptoms were at their worst :) I imagine gabapentin and pregablin would be the same but i cant speak for those ones! :)
Hi, I have tried all of these drugs above and feel no benefit other making me more clumsy.
