Brain fog or is it stress or is it MS?

Hi folks, Some days in work I can roll with most stuff thats thrown at me but then there are days when it seems by brain is stuck in mud. Usually a swim or some exercise after work helps. Does anyone else have any tips? Cheers, M

MS causes many different things in your life, Body and Brain to change. I find that Vitamin D3 helps me out with my brain fog, completely forgetting things all the time, i don't take any Pharmaceutical Medication as this makes my body and brain feel like crap! Exercise, Good Food, Sleep and more Sleep is what you need M. Stay Strong :) Matt.

Hi M, I'm with you! Good days, bad days and days like today- early start 5:45am, into work at 7:30 and things are going well. I can't always differentiate :( Are you getting enough sleep? Tips * Office work: I use this timer as a way to get work done and to schedule short breaks which really helps with the 'brain fog': http://www.marinaratimer.com It breaks time into 25 minute slots and helps me keep track of tasks and workload. * List: Make one, mark things off and if you find yourself in the middle of something, make sure you account for it on the list. *Coffee- watch out for this. The boost is great but for me the come-down can be horrific. I have one in the morning but tea the rest of the day (I know there's caffeine and tannin in it but i can handle it better). * Be organised: The more work I put into being organised, the less brain power I have to waste on non-productive fudging about. I'd add mindfulness to this being organised. * Exercise: I use TRX and kettle-bell routines to keep my focus and fitness. A short routine of 25 minutes usually enough with 1 hour sessions during the week. Go for a walk if you can't make a workout, * Sleep: Bedtime is 10pm for me and when I mess with it, my cognitive abilities are seriously affected. Choice between sleep and exercise? Sleep (especially if you have children). While writing I realise I need to do more of what I suggest. Hope these tips are useful for you. Emma
