Question

So my 16 year old daughter has MS. She was diagnosed in November 2023. As of now, she has been experiencing the loss of her bladder control as of this morning. Does this mean I have to take her into the ER? Any advice is helpful. Thank you.

Sorry to hear about the recent diagnosis - hope you and your daughter are getting the support you need. I'm sure this recent symptom is very scary for her. If she has had an accident or any back pain, she needs to go the ER. But it might be a UTI - could you get a testing kit from the pharmacist? Or see your primary care physician? If it's not a UTI, is it possible to contact her neurologist? She may need an MRI to check to see if she is having a relapse. And they can advise on medication that would help with the incontinence.
