Ocrevus to Kesimpta

Hi everyone, I spoke to my neurologist today and I am swapping to Kesimpta in July from Ocrevus after 2.5 years. I am swapping because Ocrevus leaves me feeling so wiped out pre and post infusion. I’ve also been getting chest pain and I think it has stemmed from Ocrevus. I also got infusion reactions and had to be on the slow rate. I am nervous for my first injection, mainly just around side effects. But hopeful I don’t feel as crap as I did on Ocrevus. How was everyone found it?

Hey! I've just started on Kesimpta and the injection is like nothing! The first time I did it, I was so worried I hadn't done it correctly. I didn't feel a thing. I hate needles, too, so I really wasn't looking forward to it. I injected into my stomach as advised by the nurse and didn't feel a thing. However, the following day side effects were brutal. Proper wipes you out for the day feeling like flu, heavy cold, tired and achey. However, the following day, back to feeling 100%. That was after my FIRST injection. I've had two since and had ZERO side effects. So I'm absolutely over the moon. My body got used to it after the first one and fingers crossed, I'm good to go. I was advised to take them on a Friday evening, so if there are any side effects, you can sleep then take the Saturday off if possible to recover.

@markmalekpour thanks for your note! Good news about the injection, not looking forward to the flu feeling. Hopefully it’s not that bad!
