Tysabri- time between each treatment?

How long should you have between Tysabri infusions or injections and why? Is there any benefit to having them 4-5 weeks apart compared to 6 weeks apart? I feel better with a shorter time in between than longer. It might be nothing to do with Tysabri but just wondering

Dear @giraffelady, when I first started Tysabri (nearly 5 years ago now) the interval was every 4 weeks. Covid pushed that up to 6 weeks. I have read that a longer interval between infusions has a positive effect on jcv levels. I sometimes go 7 weeks between infusions now. My consultant told me recently that an 8 week interval was the maximum allowed. I guess it is a matter of personal preference. However, I suspect that the N.H.S. will favour a six-week interval as it will mean a saving on drug costs. Talk to your consultant. Best wishes, Jon

I'm not on Tysabri anymore but when I was I met another patient during an infusion who went from 4 weeks to 6, and realised she was feeling as well, so went back to 4 weeks and was fine again. So maybe it's different for different people, and worth trying different options.
