@Autoimmune diseases that mimic MS on Shift.ms

Yeah I know how that feels. Got told by my GP if your symptoms get worse go to A&E then they tell me they can't do anything cos they can't see anything wrong. Finally got to see the neurologist and it was smooth sailing from there in terms of actually being listened to. I think there's a couple STIs/STDs that can mimic some symptoms. Mine was muscles locking up and feeling weakness in them. That's what I got told and had to have a blood test for them. I also had blood tests for a couple vitamin deficiencies and such cos apprently that can cause similar symptoms 🤷 I'm not a doctor though I'm just repeating what the doctors told me. MS is diagnosed by ruling other things out and accompanied by MRI and lumbar punctures. I wish you luck in your appointment and hope you get answers. Not knowing is the worst. An A&E doctor actually told me "I don't know why a doctor would send you here for muscle cramps". And it's so frustrating cos I'm trying to tell them I know what cramp feels like and this is different.
