Fatigue nonsense

Hey all! I hadn't honestly experienced 'real' MSfatigue until really recently. Some context: I'm a secondary school teacher and I went from part time to full time in January which, on reflection, was a stupid idea. At first I was putting the fatigue down to this but I've been off for a week and a half, and I still don't have any energy whatsoever. I wake up every morning feeling as if I've had no sleep at all. I don't get how you can spend all of your time resting and still be totally wiped out. I did try Amantadine a few weeks back but it made me feel awful; I decided to give it another go from this morning because I'm sick and tired (ha!) of feeling this terrible ALL OF THE TIME. Is this usual? Any nifty MShacks? Ema x

@emaweston , Amantadine is the usual cheap first response to this problem, although the more expensive Modafinil, which used to be the second response, may work better. The sudden onset of Summer may be playing a part too......

@UpstateFan

I've been struggling a lot more with fatigue this year as well. Falling asleep at my desk at work, and in meetings where i'm not presenting or interacting. It doesn't seem to matter how much sleep I've gotten. That said, my doctor just got me on Provigil, and it seems to be helping so far. I still feel physically tired, but mentally i'm more awake during the day. This at least allows me to work since my job is not very physical. I'm just concerned about long term effects or withdrawl issues if i want to come off of it.
