First MRI results after starting Kesimpta

Hi all. Looking for any thoughts or shared experiences! I was diagnosed with RRMS in November of last year and then started Kesimpta a month later. I just received my 6 month MRI results, and it’s showing about 6 new lesions in my brain and spinal cord. I had a lot more to begin with, so technically it’s less than my last MRI, but I wasn’t expecting new ones. My neurologist appointment isn’t for another month, so I can’t really discuss what it all means with them yet. Did anyone else see new lesions 6 months after starting Kesimpta? Is this normal? Any input is appreciated! Love this community, it’s been a huge comfort to read other people going through the same things ❤️

Hey, I have a sort of similar situation. I got diagnosed November, started Kesimpta in Feb, had my MRI in may and it showed new disease activity, they've never told me what activity or how much, but my neurologist wasn't worried as it can take a little while for Kesimpta to start working. I've not long had an appointment with him and he was happy with how things are. I've had a few episodes of symptoms but overall been okay on Kesimpta I think. Z

I switched to Kesimpta from Ocrevus, on the basis it’s supposed to be ‘comparably effective’, you didn’t have to hang about in a hospital during a pandemic, and so take a day off work. It’s been a year and my last MRI showed no new lesions. That said, my gait/walking has worsened, but likely due to a lack of exercise as much as anything.
