Optic Neuritis and Exercise

Anybody else experience 20 20 vision 99% of the time, but when you start to exercise suddenly the eyesight goes a bit wierd... Not that I can't see it just goes a bit odd, like struggles with high contrast and bright things, it's almost like what I imagine colour blindness to be like. Returns to normal fairly sharpish once I stop exercise. Anybody know of things that might help? Is getting fitter the key? Improve my fitness so my heart rate doesn't go up so fast? Is it a body temperature thing? Anybody know if anything that can actually help because it's really knocking my confidence when I start to do the sport I love, which is horse riding. Showjumping has become something I feel nervous of all of a sudden and when hiking or walking the dogs I feel less confident because I don't neccesarily think I can see hazards as sharply as I could before. Any tips?! #exercise #opticneuritis #sport #stayingactive #confidence

Yes, I do find that when I over exert my mind doing something active, my vision gets blurry. It usually just takes a second of closed eyes to help it go away, but proper exercise makes it flair up a lot harder than a simple walk. Maybe lots of water to keep your mind hydrated? Yes exercise is helpful, but as I have started to learn/feel, maybe cardio is better than lifting. I've been cleaning my house and the constant bending and lifting has made me feel worse, whereas when I exercise on my elliptical (even when I push an hour on it) I feel better. Even if my eyesight gets that blur from the exertion. It tends to not happen as often the more I train my body.
