How to be heard?

Recentl, I have been rationalising most of my symptoms, thinking 'Maybe my feet feel tingly and weird because of my shoes,' and 'Maybe my hands are tingly because of carrying my heavy bag walking to work.' I don't feel confident anymore to stand up for myself and talk to my GP about my experiences, and how I feel that my symptoms weren't taken seriously. I do need to go see her anyway because I need to get a prescription but I really feel like I have been treated as though I am just overly anxious. I guess it is also to do with not having answers; rationalising makes not having answers a bit easier, at least some of the time. I don't have a way to rationalise everything though, such as the spasms or electric shocks in my tongue. I also know back in July/August I was really not right. My right leg has been bugging me the most lately. I have a question I am nervous to ask but here I go anyway. Does anyone find that their symptoms feel stronger/more noticeable when being intimate with someone. I have noticed this... With the sensations in my leg/footfeeling stronger. It is weird and don't quite know how to manage that except just try to ignore it. Really interested to know if others find this! As for seeing the doctor, how do I bring up how I am feeling? I struggle to describe the sensations and also it is tricky to say I feel like no one is taking me seriously. Surely, it isn't normal to have tingling and pains, and spasms every day? I don't get how the Neuro wrote it off because I had said the symtoms had calmed down. They aren't intense and overwhelming anymore but they are still there. Any advice appreciated. Feeling a bit dispondent.

Listen ms and symptoms are funny, for years I was complaining at back pain. Then the arm starts tingling, cold feet, numbness too. I explained the pain actually moved to different places in my body. I have been told many things. Sometimes I got shut down so much that I had to really think about it. Am I bonkers or what? But finally I got a really good consultant Neurology that listened. MRI one day and boom it was there clear as day. Lesions. I don't know about yours but mik them a while to find. Remember I said the symptoms moved around? Well of course they do. - This is your nervous system and once you know it makes sense

Hi there I had a very similar experience with my GP I was in and out of the doctors for over a year being told and treated like I was making it up or being too anxious, my vision played up the most (doubled, blurred and optic neuritis) I was told I "just forgot how to control my eyes" I felt so low until one nurse took me seriously and sent me to hospital and now getting the help I need, dont be afraid to keep on asking any questions you have I feel its important. My grandad use to say the noisiest cog gets the most oil and its true!
