Ocrelizumab and covid
Hey everyone, I've tested positive for covid today. I found out that if you've got MS and/or you're immunosupressed you can get antiviral medication to help overcome covid faster and to help prevent it getting severe. I wasn't told about this from my MS team so thought I'd mention it here for people. They said everytime I get covid I'm meant to call 111 to get medication. I've got a phone call tomorrow to see whether I need oral medication or an infusion. I hope this helps someone else 💞
111 don't deal with covid , meds anymore I had to contact GP and they sent a form to hospital who contacted me and sent me meds. That was April this year, good luck hope you feel better soon
@deano that's odd, they said the opposite to me earlier. Maybe it's because we're in different areas. They told me that my GP, pharmacist or Dr can't prescribe the medication and it has to go through the antiviral team. They're meant to be contacting me tomorrow. Thank you! Hoping it passes quickly!
