Hi.👋

Hi everyone. I was diagnosed with MS in February this year, I have relapsing remitting. I went for my second consultation this month, and they have decided I should start treatment. They have told me my MS is going to progressive. I have chosen to do the monthly injection at home. Can't remember the name of it. Still coming to terms with all of this, but now alot of things makes more sense now, I actually thought I was in the menopause stage. Does anybody else here do the injections? How long have you been on this treatment? What side effects have you had?

hi @Michelle79 welcome to 'the club' - i am doing a monthly injection of Kesimpta which has been painless and fine. What caught me out is that even with RRMS your disability will continue to evolve, the injections 'should' stop relapses where the damage is done but i am getting symptoms as my body learns to work around the lesions. i *think* this is what they meant by your MS being progressive - or it could well be that it changes from RRMS to progressive - i am no expert. The important thing is to take time to get used to it all, your first year once you get your diagnosis is a rollercoaster of emotions and learning but we are all here for you and are cheering you on.
