Chronic pain

hi all. So i was diagnosed with RRMS in 2017 following a supposed trapped nerve in my neck that has never recovered since December 2015: This is what lead to me requesting scans and eventual diagnosis. I'm really fortunate that the MS itself seems stable, but this nerve disturbance causes burning searing pain continuously in my left forearm. Even more worrying is that its become so hyper sensitive to touch that i can rarely tolerate covering it with sleeves, even when weather is cold. I know about Complex regional pain syndrome, and worried about what to do to ease the situation as mobility in the arm has greatly decreased because of the constant pain and sensitivity. This adds hugely to fatigue, of course, when (for example) I'm on the crowded trains and being braced for the discomfort of contact with other people. My neurologist is great, but I'm thinking of going back to GP and requesting input from another type of specialist. Not sure if there are other things i could be doing... Does anyone else deal with something like this? Any advice would be strongly appreciated! Thanks! Matt

Hi @matt_boyd. Sorry you're in pain. Yes, why not as the GP for a referral for neurophysiotherapy? You might also look into asking for something like Amitriptyline, which is often prescribed for neuropathic pain; might have a deadening effect on the sharpness of pain. Good luck

Hi @vixen. I hadn't heard of neurophysio before, thanks for the tip! Yeah I use Amitriptyline plus pregabalin at night already.
