Repeat infections

Just wondering if this is familiar to anyone else? I was diagnosed with MS last spring (but after CIS several years before and many years of unexplained fatigue). I had glandular fever when I was 18, and repeat tonsilitus/throat infections throughout my teens and into twenties. Feel like periodically I will just come down with something and get wiped out with same illness for a week or so at a time (headache/aches and severe fatigue, sometimes fever, sore throat). I'm currently in one of these- this is 5th day in bed. Sets back my efforts to exercise and manage life around MS. Feel like have no resilience whatsoever 😞.I'm on Cladribine (yr 2 Dec), but this has been going on a long time previous to starting that.

I had a similar pattern with the glandular fever and tonsillitis. That describes my teens and early twenties. I lived on Penicillin for my rotten tonsils. Total pain to be wiped out by viral illness. I don't get quite what you describe but I do get periods where I seem to get repeat infections one after another. I'm not on an immune suppressant (although about to start) and am on Glatiramer.

@Marble76 yes I also suffered with repeat tonsillitis from my early teens to late 20's. Ended up having them removed when I was 28 as I was having constant infections and feeling poorly and having too much time off work. I'd forgotten all about it until I saw your post. Thinking back I've always struggled to get over any viral illness or infection I've had . I do hope you're feeling better soon
