MS and the Menopause

Hi everyone, I have recebtly had blood test results confirming that I am in full menopause, this wouldn’t be such a bad thing if I could take HRT, which I know helps many women during this time, the reason I can’t take HRT is becaus I had cancer when I was 30, resulting in a full hysterectomy, and whilst at the GP’s the screen was red and stating that I cannot be given HRT. Anyway, I have hot flashes, that are lasting a good hour or more, during these ‘flashes’ my whole body goes extremely bright red, tingly and burns, is it affecting me more severely because of my MS? And can anyone recommend any natural remedies that might help me?

@LornaShaw Sadly you are not the only woman in this position. I would see if your GP can refer you to a menopause specialist and see what other options are available to you. The NHS website offers some guidance as well.
