Lemtrada round 3?
Hi, I had the first course of lemtrada in 2016 and the second in 2017 unfortunately I relapsed in 2017 about 10 months of the2nd treatment. It’s been down hill since then relapses have been frequent and my mri has shown new lesions in both the brain and spinal cord! I have now been offered a 3rd course of lemtrada or stem cells! I’m not sure which way to go, stem cells seems very scary and very intense and I work full time, and have a young child, lemtrada seems to be the obvious course as I know what to expect but unfortunately I’m sceptical as it didn't work last time! Has anyone had the 3rd treatment and if so was it any different to 1 and 2 x

@lisac22 Hi , Sorry to here things are not going well. I have had a third round of lemtrada and no improvement. I had thyroid problems ongoing after 2nd treatment and have got ITP following 3rd round. It’s a big decision to make. It is difficult when you work and have a young child and stem cell treatment is a big commitment. If I had been offered stem cell I think I would have took that option rather than lemtrada. It’s hard decision to make, good luck. Hope things improve.
