Working with fatigue

Hi - I was diagnosed a year ago and was, up until July, working 5 days a week. I now work 4 days a week. I’m still struggling so much with fatigue. I’m a single parent and even struggle to cook my daughters dinner sometimes. How does everyone else cope?! I wish I could afford to give up work but that’s not an option x

Oh man, I totally relate. I feel a lot of my energy is used during the work week that my house is a total disaster. I found me a desk job but it is mentally taxing. For me, it’s trial and error. It’s learning what my limits are and listening to my body. I practically live off caffeine to get through the day to day (probably not good for me). I’m also ADHD so my Adderal def helps me but on days I don’t take it, I just do some coffee, and b vitamins as it helps with energy. If you can, exercise bc it definitely helps, whether it’s Dancing, swimming or a walk. But also rest when you can/need. Honestly, a crock pot is my best friend when it comes to cooking. I cook a large amount and then left overs for lunches or dinners. I’m thankful my son is 15 now and can cook so that helps bc sometimes he wants to cook.

I have medication for fatigue. It helps me somewhat. Not amazing but I can pull through easier. It’s nuvigil 250mg.
