Well, that's new - Spasms

So far i think I've got off relatively light with my MS but over the past two weeks there has been three instances of my entire left hand side spasming. It's painless and passes in around 15 seconds but it sure is scary to experience. It goes up my leg to my arm and even partially my face. I spoke to my MS team and given the first two times when it happened it was when i stood up in a hurry they felt it was likely my brain getting confused that the usual pathways had been damaged so they pushed me forward for physio. This weekend however i had three instances in an hour, twice when standing up and once whilst sitting there eating my meal. I spent 8 hours at A&E (ER for you Americans) where they took my blood and said they don't believe it to be a stroke or heart attack and my bloods were clear. Now awaiting my MS team to come back to me, Spoke to the charity helpline and they felt spasming was quite common but this symptom is very new to me. Any thoughts? anyone had similar?

Hi @Gortz , if it keeps happening it might be worth trying a medication called 'Baclofen'. It's a muscle relaxant and i've started taking it not long ago and it seems to be working. I get the same as you...totally painless but scary!

@Gortz

@StalliconicCharm thanks dude, Yeah my wife saw my face drop and got pretty freaked out. I am going to wait to hear from the med team but it's 'good' to know youve had this too.
