Hot, sunny weather.
Yesterday I went to a concert - Bruce Springsteen in Dublin. I arranged accessible parking beside the stadium and went in with a friend - until I could not walk any more. Had to get 2 seperate taxis about 500m each, then hold walls, railings and my mate's shoulder till we eventually got in. The concert was super - but then there was getiing out. Although for some reason I seemed to be able to make my way slightly better - it was still a half an hour or more to the car with the crowds and not really knowing the way. The Garda were really nice and gave us a lift, (me)! the last 500m. I only started realising why things were so bad, then later slightly better and today back to being fairly good - as good as they've been for the last few years. The difference was the heat and the sun - earlyevening yesterday was 28 degrees in a hot sun when we arrived in Dublin and tried to get to the concert. I've learned a lesson - to try to stay right out of it - I thought I was done for !oday is a new day - and I'm in the shade. Better Days!!
Sounds like you faced shite accessibility issues with a 'I will do this attitude'...credit to you for that. I'm sorry it had such a knock on effect on you but I'm really glad you got to see your concert!! Hope you enjoyed it.
Thanks, Claire, My ability to walk suddenly shrunk from not much to zero. There was no working out why - until I noticed the temperature. Stupid me - I should have known better - but I made it there and back - with help! Overall it was great.
