Low White Blood Cell Count

Hi Everyone. My WBC has been very low for the past 8 months and my Doctor said it is due to my medication, Gilenya. She has decreased my dosage and I am currently on the lowest dosage. If my WBC doesn’t go up in the next month I will have to switch medications (which I really don’t want to do) just curious if anyone else has experienced this before?

Hi there I have had the same experience with low WBC. I had been on Tecfidera since diagnosis in 2017. I have recently changed medication to Avonex which is a once weekly injection. I’ve had a few side effects but it’s early doors and I’m optimistic things will settle down. My MS team were very helpful in providing the information required to allow me to make the decision.

I am on Kesimpta. I also have a low WBC count but my neurologist said this is to be expected with Kesimpta treatment.
