Vitamin concern

I had Graves disease in 2005-6 and have been in remission since. I was always told to never take vitamin suppliments as it can bring my graves back. Now how is this going to wirk with my MS? A bit stuch to be hinest :(

Hi Dan, Do you not have an MS Nurse? She should be your first port of call. You need to know 100% Your MS nurse will or should be in contact with your neuro doc! If you are still unsure theres always your GP or practice nurse. If you eat a good diet then you should be ok anyway. Treat your body like a temple! Trash the chips.Cut down on the fats. Learn to chill out more. Jane

Hey, Although a lot of people with MS take vitimins of some kind, when I asked my nurses whether or not they honestly felt they would do any good, her answer was that if you are eating a healthyish, balanced diet then you should be getting all of the vitimins you need already. The only thing she did comment on was to take vit D so I now take this-as the levels my neuro told me to. If you do decide to take vitimins make sure that you check how many international units each capsule/ tablet etc is worth. Do not rely on the weight as this doesn't tell you anything...x
