"Cold Allodynia"

So, I just discovered this word, ALLODYNIA. I believe "cold allodynia" is exactly what I'm feeling. It started very slowly and subtly around 10 years ago. Now, I can barely stand to go in the grocery store. Just the slightest exposure to cool air sends my whole surface area into painful icy cold burning. It's basically there all the time now.(unless I'm in the summer sun) I take Lyrica and Cymbalta but lately nothing helps. The only thing that gives relief is warmth. I can't stand this feeling. I don't know if this comes from lesions in the hypothalamus or on the spinal cord. I saw one allodynia related post. Does anyone else have this type of pain?
@Tortoise

Yes, but not all the time (can't imagine that 🧡). In combination with mild pain meds, wrapping up and ignoring the looks and comments seems to work for me so far (yours is obviously further on than mine - I'm saying this for others' sakes). Wrist warmers, boots for ~8 months of the year, hats, extra knitted thing across the shoulders, leggings instead of tights, bedding arranged to prevent drafts (weighted blanket also helps with that)... whatever it takes! I'd rather look stupid than be in pain. I hope you find something soon that works for you. Have you asked about maybe switching pain meds or something? 🧡

@Criscross21

I have an appointment coming up soon and so I am going to review my pain treatment options again. I also like the idea of the weighted blanket. That’s worth the investment. Thanks for your feedback.
