MRI results by letter. Unexpected and worried.

Hi all, so I have been under the radar since my 20’s for MS after optic neuritis episodes etc etc. Recently I went for another MRI brain and cervical and was supposed to have an appointment with a neurologist Monday of this week where, I would get the results. My appointment got cancelled at short notice and I was simply told I would be sent another appointment. However before that’s even happened, I received a clinical letter today with my results and am worried as I don’t fully understand what they mean. I should mention that my last MRI was only 2 years ago and was normal as far as I know. The results read: ‘peri ventricular high signal adjacent to left lateral ventrical’ can anyone help me to understand this at all please?
@Petebott

I'm sorry I can't shed light on what that means but I had a very similar experience last week, received the copy of the clinical letter to my GP noting that there were signs of inflammation in my brain, first I'd heard of it, I'd been told it was just my spine. There should definitely be things with these letters explaining what they mean if a Dr hasn't already told you.
