Kesimpta no.1 💉

Hi everyone, happy Sunday! I’m having to switch from Tysabri after 8 month because although I’ve not had any new symptoms, I’ve had a new tiny lesion. I’m now going to be having Kesimpta! I had my last Tysabri on Tuesday and I’m now in a 6 week wash out period while my funding goes through for Kesimpta. Does anyone have any advice?? What should I expect for the 1st injection? What side effects should I prepare for? Anything that will help calm my nerves 🤣
@CactusJack

I’ve been on Kesimpta for nearly 1 year and I’ve had no side effects except fir the first injection. I took my first injection on the Friday night at about 6pm , at 8pm I got really shivery and it felt like I had get fever like symptoms by about 11pm the shivering stopped and I felt more or less ok , still had hey fever symptoms in the morning but felt ok - was able to go to restaurant , supermarket, etc . Felt even better by Sunday and even ran 5k , on the Monday I felt my ms symptoms flare a little but by Tuesday I was 100% ok ! Second jab made me feel a bit groggy but no big deal Third jab - nothing at all , and I even went on a long train journey , ran 7k a few hours later and had been drinking the night before ! Kesimpta has been good for me - injection is a painless and I often forget I’ve had it 😂. Happy to answer any other questions
