Optic neuritis

Hi all… I am recently diagnosed with MS. My 1st outward sign was/is optic neuritis which started early March. I have had minimal recovery in my sight since this time. I am getting more and more concerned that my sight may never recover. I know each case is unique but I was wondering what other peoples experiences are around this? Thanks

Hello, sorry to hear you haven’t recovered in your eyes fully. For me, this happened to me two/three years before I was diagnosed and didn’t realise it was MS 🤣 my eyes did get better eventually but everyone is different!

Hi there! I’ve had a couple of bouts of optic neuritis. For me most of the vision loss was lasting but it did get much better than it was. It took time and I still have a bit of a blurry spots in a wedge of my vision. Your brain will compensate eventually. There will be days that you don’t think about it as much and then not at all. Some days are better than others.good Sleep and staying away from bright lights is a good way to rest your eyes. Cannabis has been good for bad days, it helps with the pain.
