Hello everyone

My wife has primary progressive MS finding being at work really hard.i think she might need to stop soon the stress is really effecting her.she has applied for PIP.i work full time but won't be able to cover all the bills and rent.we also have a 4 year old.any advice suggestions I would really appreciate 🌈🌈

Hopefully she will get PIP, and the top level as well especially as she has ppms, it is supposed to cover the extra help we all need. If she does give up work though the money would greatly help it is not a replacement for earning. You should get help on a lot of fronts, and perhaps she can then concentrate on being a mum to your 4 yr old🥊😍

@butterfly999 , I believe you're resident in the UK, so I would go along to the Citizen's Advice Bureau (CAB) as they're the experts on benefits. Your wife shouldn't resign from her position. If stress is causing problems for her MS, she needs to get her GP to sign her off, to see if a short break, e.g. four weeks, may help. If this does not result in any improvement, then continue to be signed off. When her sick pay runs out, you can put in a claim for Employment Support Allowance (ESA). But, do get 3rd party assistance, e.g. CAB, in completing the formalities of applying for benefits, as it is a minefield.
