DMT postponed

Hi everyone,

Any recommendations to help boost my immune system? What are people taking on a daily basis? I’m just on the recommended 3000iu of Vitamin D once a day. My treatment has been postponed due to bed capacity and patient safety as the hospital has lots of Covids. Obviously very upset about not getting treatment and the risk of a relapse but the neurology team have decided it is in their patient groups best interests and I trust their decision.

Hi @georgie92 sorry to hear about your treatment being postponed! I’m taking 5,000iu of vitamin D, 1000 B12, 1000 vitamin C and 30mg of Zinc a day to keep my immune system strong. I know it can be skeptical if taking vitamins actually helps boost your immune system but from my experience being on immune supressing treatment I have never picked up any unwanted illnesses and I believe taking vitamins daily has helped with that.

Also sleep, water and “avoid stress”…ok they say the last one but can they be serious ;-0

like @itsmewithms Plus, eat a healthy diet, exercise. All the usual boring stuff!

The exercise and not getting stressed are key. No amount of pills, potions and lotions will ever make up for a good healthy diet, sleep and exercise.

@lukezni Thanks for the info, I took your advice and picked up a few extra vits.
@itsmewithms Thank you. No problem with the first two recommendations, I reckon the latter is probably why I have a cold now, I’m a frontliner so very stressful at the moment but working on it!
@dominic‘s Thank you also especially for your daily informative posts. Resources are very limited. Hope people don’t panic too much. I’m on T******, I think I’m one of approx 600 being treated locally that have been or will be cancelled :/
