COVID Concerns

Hello MSers, I haven't posted in a while but I wanted to talk about COVID19. Is anyone else worried about not receiving their treatment? I'm on ocrevus and doctors have stopped my treatment as it can suppress my immune system, however, they have also confirmed that the ocrevus inside my body will last for 12months (not 6months when I would usually get another dose). This has confused me a little. I am also worried about not being able to go for my MRI scans as they are the only way to see if I am developing PML or not. Safe to say I'm a bit all over the place at the moment. I hope everyone is doing okay? Despite my worries and the odd pseudo symptom, I am well.

For the last couple of months there has been a lot of discussion about Covid-19 and it's impact on MS'rs, interactions with the various DMTs, etc. @dominics was providing daily updates during the worst of it and hosting video calls with many experts as well. You can likely search for them using those tips and the magnifying glass in the upper left. I am also on Ocrevus so paid particular attention to that information. It impacts our B cells and it is the T cells that fight the virus so the impact is less than they originally surmised. However how we will respond to possible vaccines will need to be reviewed. Knowing this I went ahead with my first full infusion in mid April. I do have the ability to pretty much self-isolate in an area with relatively little Covid action so that is also to my benefit and should be considered. Dr Boster covered Ocrevus and Covid in this segment- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eo_e-d2tJeg I don't typically associate PML with Ocrevus and am not checked for that. I think it is a risk with Tysabri which I have never taken https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXld2VnW_NI Hopefully you find these helpful.
