Confused

Hi everyone
I go for regular MRIs, my MRIs show no new or enhanced lesions, however, from my last mri in September last year to my one conducted today I now use a wheelchair, my balance and mobility has deterorated.

Is there anyone out there in a similar situations, clear scans but worsening symptoms?

My balance has gone downhill the last year also.,Use walker and wheelchair more. Had MRI of spine that showed lesion activity and started Ocrevus in December. Previous MRI was of head and showed no changes. Have nuero order MRI of spine. Get back with info. Good luck!! Most of my problems are lower body movement along with bladder stuff.

@erusha , MRI scans aren’t comprehensive in what they show.

If you’re able, don’t use the wheelchair fulltime. You need to remain active, to keep the muscles working.

Having balance issues won’t help you. Have you had your ears checked for non-MS related problems?

@stumbler I use the wheelchair mainly for longer distances, I haven’t checked my ears I recently became vegan so my b12 is a tad low. I’ll have to take supplements and hope it helps a little

@erusha, have a look at the Barts MS blog on two issues: a) ‘Why my MS is getting worse’ and b) veganism and MS. I can’t remember the exact wording of these posts but they are definitely worth the search.
