Sleep

I’m sure this is already been discussed but for those of you who do not sleep what do you use? What have you been prescribed? I can’t have marijuana or anything with CBD because of my job function. I take magnesium every day and I used to try Benadryl but that stopped working. I also used to take valerian but because I’m on Zoloft I can’t. There’s a big interaction Thanks
@GeorgeH

Hi, I am fairly newly diagnosed but had been struggling with sleep for a while but didn’t want to take tablets. So I have tried organic prebiotic inulin, which is a soluble fiber . Apparently when you take a teaspoon full 90 mins before bed it helps you sleep better. I have tried this because I figured it couldn’t hurt and I feel like I have slept better. It’s helped with some of my other symptoms too. I also have used a cbd lotion before bed but I couldn’t really say it helped that much, maybe a little. Good luck finding something! X

Depends on ur DMT and what u can take alongside should have had a pharmacist consultation prior to first dose/transfusion/injection etc before Aubagio I was taking tecfidera and so I could also take Nytol (1 a night) which is antihistamine based but after I switched to auabagio I’m not allowed so I can Phenergran both of which are antihistamine based and helped. The other thing that used to help is KALMS which are herbal (valerian based) tabs 2 different types blue box is for anti anxiety and the purple box is for sleeping aid. Personally I found the anti anxiety blue box better all round but both are worth a try if possible with ur other meds. Other ppl have suggested things like colouring, backing away from ur phone, tablet etc 1hr30mins before bed, meditation, mindfulness, podcasts or sleep aid audios like music or raindrops etc loads of apps where u can access this for free. Sleep prep yoga, cutting out food,fluids and exercise before bed ( different ppl say different lengths of time) if u suffer from temp sensitivity then electric blanket/hot water bottle socks for feet if cold sensitive or blanket rather than quilt or lower count/tog quilt, bedside fan, cooling vest and skimpy pjs. (Depends which way u tend towards) and just as a last side note heard good things about weighted blankets. Check out https://shift.ms/@AmyBarr55 ‘ sleep’ post just in case I forgot anything hope u find something that helps!!!! ( oh 1 last thing gabapentin for nerve pain) is great for sleep if u take it just before bed
