Confused

I guess I don't know what I have...I've been on this journey for a few years. I've got all or most symptoms....why's it take so long for a diagnosis to be made? I've had brain scans and neurologist says the lesions are from migraines...do I need to ask for them to do a brain and spinal cord MRI with contrast or without? #limboland #diagnosis

In my experience, contrast is not particularly helpful. If you're curious about diagnostic time frames, do some Googling about the McDonald Criteria. Currently, the McDonald Criteria is considered the gold standard for diagnosis and there is a time component to it. In other words, any lesions you have must be distributed both through space and time. I know it's frustrating to not have answers, but let the process play out. If you have MS, a definitive diagnosis is not going to make much difference in the grand scheme of things. Take a breath lucas the >^..^< and be kind to yourself.
